Your AI sales coordinator for home-service businesses.

lead.engine owns the administrative distance between an inquiry and a productive sales conversation — and hands the conversation to you at exactly the right moment.

Stage by stage

Seven steps, in order, every time.

Nothing here is a dashboard for its own sake. Each stage exists to move one lead one step closer to a booked, prepared conversation.

  1. Step 1

    New lead

    lead.engine

Website or email inquiry lands and is captured with the wording the customer used.

The original inquiry is stored verbatim and never rewritten, so you always see what the homeowner actually said.

  2. Step 2

    Instant response

    lead.engine

The lead gets a real answer in minutes, in your voice, day or evening.

You set the tone and business hours. lead.engine acknowledges the project and starts gathering what's missing.

  3. Step 3

    Qualification

    lead.engine

Location, service, budget and timeline checked against your rules.

Your rules are the only criteria — service radius, minimum project, ideal range, services you do and don't offer. lead.engine interprets the conversation against them; it never invents its own standards.

  4. Step 4

    Booking

    lead.engine

Qualified leads get offered a consultation window and confirmed.

No back-and-forth thread to babysit. Leads that don't fit get a polite, clear answer instead of silence.

  5. Step 5

    Lead Brief

    lead.engine

A one-page brief: scope, budget, timeline, priorities, photos, questions to ask.

Read it in the truck before you knock. Everything the customer already told you, organized, plus suggested consultation questions.

  6. Step 6

    Human conversation

    Human

You walk the property and sell the work. This part stays human on purpose.

You can take over the conversation at any point before that, too — handoff is a feature, not a failure.

  7. Step 7

    Next action

    Human

One note after the visit becomes a tracked next step with a due date.

Move Forward, Follow Up or Not a Fit, plus a sentence in your own words. The follow-up stops living in your head.

Qualification

Your rules are the only rules.

You set the service area and radius, the minimum project you'll take, your ideal project range, the services you offer and the ones you don't, your hours and your tone.

lead.engine reads each inquiry and decides how it measures up against those rules. It does not decide what a good lead is, and it does not quietly loosen your minimum to keep a conversation going. When a lead fails, the reason is shown against the rule it failed.

Customer text conversation

We'd like to redo our backyard. We have drainage problems and would like a patio, landscaping and maybe a fire pit.

Thanks for reaching out about your backyard — drainage plus a patio is right in our wheelhouse. Could you share a rough budget range, when you'd like the work done, and what town you're in?

Probably $20–30k. This fall. We're in West Des Moines. Backyard is about 5,000 sq ft.

That all works well for us. Mike has a consultation open Thursday at 2:30 PM, about an hour on site. Does that work?

Thursday at 2:30 works.

Lead Brief

The feature owners actually open.

The Lead Brief is a single page you read in the truck: who they are, when you're meeting, the project, the budget range, the timeline, the location, their stated priorities, their photos, and what to ask.

It also carries notes on fit — for example that a budget lands inside your target range, or that drainage should be raised early in the visit. The customer's original words are preserved separately, so you can always check what was actually said.

After the visit, one tap marks the consultation complete. Choose Move Forward, Follow Up or Not a Fit, add a sentence in plain language, and lead.engine turns it into a concrete next action with timing — so the follow-up isn't stored in your memory.

  • How does water currently move through the backyard?
  • Is the patio primarily for dining, entertaining or both?
  • All at once, or would phases be easier?

Integrations

What's operational, honestly.

The contractor app and the workflow are real and clickable today. The channel connections below are at different stages, and we label each one rather than blur them together.

  • Simulated in demo

    Website lead forms

In the demo, website inquiries are simulated. For beta companies we wire up your existing form or inbox by hand during setup.

  • In development

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace email

Email connections are being developed. Nothing is connected today, and the app will say “Connection coming in live beta” rather than pretend otherwise.

  • In development

    Microsoft 365 and Google calendars

Calendar booking against your real availability is in development. The demo books into a simulated calendar so you can see the flow.

  • In development

    SMS

Text messaging is in development. The demo shows a realistic simulated text conversation, including the customer's view.

We don't fake connections. Inside the app, a provider that isn't connected says so plainly, and demo data is badged as demo data.
