About
Built from the inside of a home-service business.
lead.engine came out of firsthand experience working inside a growing home-service and design-build business, and seeing how much manual work sits between a customer inquiry and a productive sales conversation.
The pattern was always the same. A good inquiry would arrive mid-afternoon, while everyone capable of answering it was on a site. It would get a reply that evening, or the next morning, or after the homeowner had already talked to someone else.
When a reply did go out, it started a long back-and-forth to learn four things: what the project is, roughly what they want to spend, when they want it done, and where they are. Then a few more messages to land on a time for a visit. None of that is selling. It's coordination — and it was consuming the attention of the people who should have been designing and pricing work.
Meanwhile the leads that clearly didn't fit — the mowing requests, the small repairs, the jobs too far out — still got an hour of somebody's day. And the strong leads often reached the site visit without the information the homeowner had already typed out days earlier.
lead.engine exists to take the coordination and leave the selling. It answers quickly, gathers what's missing, measures the lead against the contractor's own rules, gets the good ones booked, and hands the owner a brief worth reading before knocking on the door.
It is deliberately not an AI product looking for a use case. It's one workflow, taken seriously, for companies where the owner is still personally in the middle of it.
How we build
Three commitments.
The contractor sets the rules
Qualification criteria belong to the business. lead.engine interprets leads against your rules and never substitutes its own judgment for your standards.
Built around the real workflow
Inquiry, response, qualification, booking, brief, site visit, next action. Not a CRM with a chat box attached — one path, in the order the work actually happens.
Honest about what's finished
Early software should say what's simulated and what's live. You'll see that labeling on this site and inside the product.
Where we are
Early, and saying so.
lead.engine is in a limited Founding Beta. The contractor app and the lead workflow are real and clickable. Live email, calendar and SMS connections are in development and set up hands-on with each beta company. We have no customer testimonials or results to show yet, and we won't invent any.
